1st Annual Milwaukee, WI DIY Walk of Hope
Thank you for visiting my 1st Annual Milwaukee, WI DIY Walk of Hope fundraising page.
Join us Saturday, September 30th at 8:30am Lapham Peak in Delafield for a 3k walk!
Did you know 1 in 8 couples suffers from infertility? Did you know that most employers do not cover infertility treatment under their health plan? 15 states have an insurance mandate to cover some level of infertility treatment. Eight of those states have an insurance mandate that requires qualified employers to include IVF coverage in their plans offered to their employees. Unfortunately WI is not included in these states. Come out to show your support! No one with infertility should walk alone!
Unlike most walks, there is not a registration fee, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution/donation to RESOLVE, a 501(c) (3) charitable non- profit corporation.
Your donation will help RESOLVE build a stronger community for people facing infertility. By building a stronger community, together we’ll break through the barriers that prevent millions from building a family. You will help support their advocacy efforts, volunteer and support programs that increase access to medical care and family building options for all who need them.
$25 covers daily cost of monitoring state legislation to ensure no bills are passed that threatens family building options such as IVF, adoption and surrogacy. (total cost of $175 per week; $750 per month.)
$60 supports one day of RESOLVE’s HelpLine program—a free service to those in need of one-on-one support. ($420 per week; $1,680 per month, $21,900 per year)
$150 covers the online costs to instantly mobilize volunteer grassroots support when legislation threatens family building options.
$250 covers the daily cost of keeping the RESOLVE website fresh with education and support resources on family building options. (A total cost of $1,750 per week.).
$500 underwrites recruiting and training a volunteer to offer one new RESOLVE support group in a community with no local RESOLVE services.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
