2016 Washington, D.C. Walk of Hope

Shady Grove Fertility Cares

One in eight couples in the U.S will have trouble conceiving. This statistic is especially startling because so many don’t talk about their difficulties and, as a result, many feel that they are in this alone. For the past several years, Shady Grove Fertility has teamed up with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association to bring infertility out of the shadows by diminishing the stigma and creating awareness, fighting for greater access to care through mandated insurance coverage, and offering support groups and services to help those who need it the most.

The Walk of Hope represents the infertility journey—a series of small steps, each one filled with hope and a reminder that no one with infertility should walk alone. On October 15th, join our team of dedicated physicians, nurses, and staff at the 2016 RESOLVE Walk of Hope. Together, there isn’t anything we cannot overcome!

“RESOLVE is an important ally for patients and Shady Grove Fertility alike when it comes to helping couples overcome their infertility. Through their efforts—providing patients with a myriad of support resources, improving access to needed medical treatment by advocating for greater insurance coverage, or normalizing the diagnosis—I can see the benefits of their tireless efforts every day when working with patients. Join me and my fellow colleagues as we band together and support this worthy cause that supports so many of you,” remarks Eric A. Widra, M.D., Medical Director, Shady Grove Fertility.
