One Morning, One Mile, One Community.
Thank you for visiting my 2016 Washington, D.C. Walk of Hope fundraising page.
Nathan and I have both always wanted children. After trying to have a baby for many years, last summer we went to a fertility doctor, and found out that I am struggling with infertility. I have good days and bad days, but we are actively trying different treatments to conceive our miracle baby.
I found this walk and thought this would be a great way to support others who, like me, are dealing with infertility, and to draw attention to a subject that many people don't talk about. Infertility affects 1 in 8 couples and 7.3 million women and men. Yet, I feel like infertility is stigmatized, and people feel ashamed at any issues they may have conceiving and growing or starting a family.
I hope you join Nate and I in supporting all those who deal with infertility. We would love for you to join us in the Walk, or support RESOLVE by sponsoring us as we walk. The Walk of Hope represents the infertility journey—a series of small steps, each one filled with hope and a reminder that no one with infertility should walk alone.
