What to Expect |
We like to say Advocacy Day is the day of "Three E's". Exciting. Empowering. Eventful.
You'll spend your day with women and men who care about the same things you care about. Many of our advocates have experienced infertility or are still on their journey to parenthood. You'll come together and your voice will be heard!
Walking through the same buildings as our lawmakers will give you a sense of pride and strength knowing you are there to make a difference for you and all those who battle infertility
.

There will be a Welcome Reception from 5:30PM to 7:30 PM in Washington, D.C. (registered attendees will receive reception information).
Your day will start with a training session that begins at 8:00AM. Check-in and Registration opens at 7:30AM. Training will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C until 10:00AM. A continental breakfast will be served and each participant will receive a detailed schedule of their appointments along with packets of materials to leave behind at each appointment (registered attendees will receive detailed information).
Participants will then be grouped by state where you will meet with advocates from your home state.
Once the training has adjourned, everyone will walk to the Senate office buildings which are a short, 10 minute walk from the Hyatt Regency. Senate appointments will be held from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. RESOLVE will be making your appointments for you. You will be visiting your two Senators with everyone from your home state. Keep in mind most appointments are with the Senator’s staff, in particular the legislative staff that deal with healthcare issues. If there is a large number of participants from your home state, some may be asked to volunteer to visit Senators on key committees if we do not have any participants from their home state.
After the Senate office appointments, most participants will have a break to buy lunch and get to their appointments at the House office buildings. RESOLVE will provide information on where to eat and how long it takes to walk around Capitol Hill.
Each participant will then meet with their House Representative’s legislative staff. These appointments will be held from 12:00PM to 3:00PM. RESOLVE will be making your appointments for you. You may be asked to also visit other Representatives from your state if we do not have a constituent from every district attending Advocacy Day.
All participants are invited to attend a De-Briefing Reception from 3:00PM to 5:00PM once you are finished with your appointments. This is a great chance to tell everyone how your day went. (registered attendees will receive detailed information)

RESOLVE will provide all of the training for Advocacy Day no experience is necessary! If you want to educate your elected officials on the disease of infertility, then you are ready to come to Washington.
