Our goal is to ensure that the Family Act is re-introduced in the 113th Congress and that the Women Veterans and Other Health Care Improvement Act bill is passed in the 113th Congress (January 2013-December 2014.)
We have identified key Senators and Representatives that are either in leadership positions or sit on a committee that has jurisdiction over issues that pertain to these bills. For example, in the Senate, the Finance Committee deals with bills that involve taxes, and since the Family Act is a tax credit bill, the Senate Finance Committee is a key committee and its members are key to our issue.
